Our Sports Camps are open to boys and girls ages 7-14. Our low camper-to-instructor ratio means that each player gets plenty of individual attention and instruction based on his or her age and skill level.
Our Academic Programs are geared towards students preparing to enter Middle School and the early years of High School. Most courses are suitable for students entering grades 5 and up. See Academic Programs for details.
Hours & Daily Schedule
Our main camp hours are 9:00 am to 3:30 pm daily. Lunch for all campers is from 12 noon to 12:30 pm. After care is available for an additional fee from 3:30 to 6:00 pm.
Campers are welcome to split their day between Academic Programs and Sports Camps. Our flexible schedules allow students to take one or two academic classes in the morning and select a sports camp for the afternoon session, or vice versa. If you have questions, contact our director Robert Alspaugh.
Our morning Academic Programs are split into two sessions: AM Session I runs from 9:00 to 10:20, and AM Session II runs from 10:40 to 12 noon. Our afternoon Academic Programs are in a single session from 12:30 to 3:30.
Our Multi-Sports Camp has two sessions each day: an AM Session from 9:00 to 12 noon, and a PM session from 12:30 to 3:30. Tennis Skills camp is offered from 8:30 – 4:30, with the option of a half day from 8:30 to 1:00.
Prices for our Academic Programs and Sports Camps are detailed below. A $10 Early Bird discount on our academic programs and Multi-Sports Camp is offered until May 1.
In addition to the camps described below, we offer a Karate Program each afternoon from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. The cost for Karate is $50 per week.
We also offer After Care each day from 3:30 to 6:00 pm. This can be paid for in advance for a flat rate of $60 per week, or campers can participate on a drop-in basis for the price of $20 per day.
Program fees vary based on subject. Click here to view our Academic Programs and the weekly rates for each class. Note that program fees include all necessary course materials.
Our Sports Camps are $125 per week for a half-day session (either AM or PM), or $225 per week for a full-day session.
We are pleased to offer a free shuttle to the Fort Totten Metro station at 12 noon and 3:30 pm each day. Fort Totten serves the Green, Yellow, and Red lines. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a morning shuttle, but our campus is accessible from Fort Totten via Metrobus.
Lunch for all campers is from 12:00 to 12:30 pm daily. Campers are encouraged to bring a bag lunch from home, but they are also welcome to purchase food from the Abbey Snack Bar, which offers a variety of snack foods, ice cream, and microwaveable options.
Please note that Abbey Adventures will be closed on July 4 for Independence Day. All our program fees for the week of July 5 are prorated to reflect the four-day schedule.
